No wonder obesity rates are rising in the United States and other countries, even in low-income countries like Mexico and Brazil! (HFCS stands for ‘high fructose corn syrup’, which is as rich in calories as sugar from beets or cane.)
The charts are not clearly labelled, but presumably plot daily per capita consumption of calories.
